Villa Bell Aria was built in 1866 by the Franović family, from stone and wood, as the only available building materials at that time.
The original form of the house was significantly different from today, since the house consisted of a fireplace, a room for sleeping and dining, and a covered yard for domestic animals.
Over time, the house was upgraded with a larger number of rooms and the total area was increased, and the yard was surrounded by a high wall around the entire front of the house.
Throughout history, the yard was surrounded by a garden, a vegetable garden and fruit trees (cherries, apples, pears, quinces, cibor).
In 2016, the house was bought by the current owners, the Mutavgjić and Ožanić families, and the renovation began, which lasted 6 years.
The goal was to keep the original shape of the house to the maximum extent, with the use of natural building materials and paying attention to the smallest details, and with the construction of a swimming pool, sunbathing area, spice garden and other facilities to create a villa that will be able to provide guests with the maximum vacation experience in a beautiful natural idyll, in a traditional stone house, of which there are unfortunately fewer and fewer today.
The current owners of the villa, the Mutavgjić and Ožanić families, have been best friends for many years, parents of 4 little girls and lovers of nature, architecture and tourism. They almost independently carried out most of the work during the renovation of the house, and today they welcome every new guest with great enthusiasm and are always at their disposal to make their stay in the villa as pleasant as possible.
